Palo Alto Networks is a big name in the Cybersecurity arena. At an event the company sponsored the Cyberrisk Happy hour and the same was highlighted with a promotional activity.
However women were made to wear the lampshades on their heads. The pictures from the event went viral on social media and the company has been facing severe criticism.
The company is accused of making women props in the promotional event. Not just common people but people holding big positions also slammed the company for what it has done.
Company CEO Nikesh Arora has reacted to the controversy and expressed his regrets. He said that they did not intend to hurt anyone and what happened in the promotional event are not in line with the values followed by the company to celebrate women.
No matter what the company become a target of many with the objectionable act as many said that women were used as props in the event.
Media reports say that the idea to have such an idea came from the booth babes which goes back to 1960s.
