An IPL Team Named After Amaravati To Come Soon?
Andhra Pradesh Sports Minister Mandipalli Ramprasad Reddy said that the government is working on having an IPL Team for the state and it would be named after Amaravati.
The proposed capital city of Amaravati is getting massive attention in Andhra Pradesh yet again due to the change in government. The beautification process was started even before the government took charge. A big loan was granted for the Amaravati region. To have a dedicated capital the government is focusing on the Amaravati region more.
Now a big announcement came from a Minister on Amaravati. A Cabinet Minister said that an IPL team would be started in the name of Amaravati. During a crucial meeting, a big announcement was made.
Andhra Pradesh Sports Minister Mandipalli Ramprasad Reddy said that the government is working on having an IPL Team for the state and it would be named after Amaravati. On the occasion, he also shed light on the aim to make the state a sports hub.
This can be seen as a big announcement from the Minister. The demand to have an IPL for the state is a long-standing one. The previous YCP government also said that an IPL team would be prepared. However, that did not materialize.
The current government is also working on this. Amaravati is the brainchild of the TDP as it announced the capital city after the state was bifurcated. A few buildings were constructed in Amaravati to develop the region between 2014 and 2019.
With the focus on the IPL team, we can see some big efforts coming from the TDP-led government in this. Let us wait and see when the IPL team dream would become a reality.
