Allu Arjun has this famous film in the form of Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo, which comes with the very interesting point of child swapping during time of birth. Now it appears that this story has come to reality as a Gurgaon couple is alleging that their baby was swapped during an IVF visit to the hospital.

The couple says they their egg retrieval and semen collection were done on February 13, and on May 14, the embryos were transferred back to them. When the babies were born on January 5, the younger baby looked completely different and did not resemble the family at all.

Due to this doubt, they had a DNA test conducted, and it failed both the maternity and paternity tests. For about 3 months, they kept approaching the authorities and the police department to get an FIR filed, but it was not registered.

Finally, the court intervened, and the FIR was filed under court direction. However, the very next day, a stay was placed on the investigation. After so many injections and multiple tests, after racking up a hospital bill of at least Rs 5-6 lakh, the couple is still fighting for justice.

The father has demanded an impartial investigation into the case. He said IVF records, embryo-related documents, lab records, electronic data, and CCTV footage at the hospital should be preserved for the probe.

The mother claimed she has been receiving calls from couples in several countries who were defrauded like them by IVF clinics. She has appealed to Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta to intervene in the matter.
