Ever since India became the Republic of India we have seen many personalities who held the crucial portfolio of External affairs. All of them put together is one side and the serving External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar is on one side. He is the voice of the New India that prefers the interests of our people over other things.

He is known for his ability to speak on various issues and many dub him as a wizard of words. We have seen him giving a strong response to the West on India busying oil from Russia despite sanctions.

Now External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar reacted to the massive buzz around naming Indias name to Bharat. In his recent interview the Minister was asked about the issue and how he sees this. In response he made some interesting comments.

In response he said that in the Indian Constitution it was written that India that is Bharat and urged everyone to read it. "India that is Bharat - it is there in the Constitution. I would invite everybody to read it" Jaishankar said in his interview.

Looking at his comments many wonder if the Minister extended his support to the move and confirmed that the name would be changed.

The Minister made these comments at a time when the whole nation was talking about the debate and giving their views on this. While a few support the move few others are opposing it. Amid this he made these interesting comments.

The debate on the issue started when the alleged pictures of G20 Summit invitation cards went viral. They grabbed everyone’s attention as they have written President of Bharat on them instead of President of India which has been used over the decades.

With these pictures doing rounds the opposition parties started an aggressive attack on the Bharatiya Janata Party-led Centre for this. One after the other the opposition parties are coming out and breathing fire on the Centre. We will get clarity on this once the G20 Summit starts. The much-awaited summit that lasts for two days will start in Delhi in a few days.
