Kasani Gnaneshwar to be BRS candidate from Goshamahal?

Has the TDP's decision to give a walkover in Telangana turned a boon for T TDP's just-resigned president Kasani Gnaneshwar Mudiraj? It definitely appears so. Gnaneshwar resigned from the president's post in protest against the TDP boss Chandrababu's decision not to contest the elections this time. But, the ruling BRS reportedly offered him Goshamahal seat on party ticket.

The BRS, which now badly needs a Mudiraj face for the upcoming elections, feels that Gnaneshwar fills that crucial gap. The Mudirajs are upset at the edging out Eatala Rajender from the BRS and are now moving away from the party. To arrest this, Gnaneshwar Mudiraj could prove to be useful, argue BRS thinking heads.

Sources say that the BRS leaders have already approached Gnaneshwar and offered him the seat. They assured that he would be given a respectable position in the party even if he loses to Raja Singh from Goshamahal. Sources also revealed that he was offered a Rajya Sabha seat he loses to Raja Singh.

Gnaneshwar, a diehard TDP man, knows KCR from the latter's TDP days. He was an MLC and was the chief of the Rangareddy zilla parishad for one term. He took over the presidentship of the Telangana TDP and worked to rebuild the party in the state. He has recently resigned from his post after
