Party sources say that he is busy finalizing the tickets for the upcoming assembly elections. He is said to have identified at least 15 sitting MLAs, whose performance has remained below par despite repeated warnings.
KCR is said to have got reports about the performance of each MLA and what the people think of the sitting MLA. Based on these reports, he is said to have drawn up a list of 15 MLAs, who should be replaced. Highly placed sources say that he has begun the process of calling them to his farm house and sound them out that they would not be given the party ticket this time
The sources revealed that two MLAs were called to the farm house earlier this week and were told in plain terms that they should stand down this time. They were shown the reports on their performance. The sources say that some MLAs from Khammam and Rangareddy districts would soon be asked to present themselves before KCR.
CM KCR is said to be planning to announce the candidates to the ‘difficult’ constituencies at the last moment. There are some constituencies, where there are more than two equally strong candidates. KCR wants to announce the candidates at the last minute to preclude the possibility of the rebels leaving the party and contest on other party’s ticket.
