Khammam failure rankles Amit Shah to no end
During his recent visit to Telangana, Amit Shah is said to have expressed his ire at the functional paralysis within the party.
Has the BJP given up hopes on Telangana? Highly placed sources that keep a tab on the developments in Telangana BJP say the BJP national leadership has decided that the state is a gone case and that there is no use investing time and money on Telangana state.
During his recent visit to Telangana, Amit Shah is said to have expressed his ire at the functional paralysis within the party. The Union Home Minister is said to have taken three top leaders to task over their failure to lift up the fortunes of the party in Telangana even as the elections are round the corner.
So angry was he that he refused to address a meeting of the senior party functionaries. He is said to have relented only after a lot of persuasion by state party president G Kishan Reddy. He is also said to be quite unhappy at Eatala Rajender’s failure to bring leaders from other parties into the BJP.
Amit Shah is also said to be quite unhappy at the turnout at the Khammam rally. The rally was announced well ahead of the schedule and several review meetings were held to monitor the works relating to the rally. Yet, the turnout was very poor and the meeting was nothing short of a failure. Amit Shah is said to have severely reprimanded the party leaders for the Khammam meet’s failure.
