It is being reported that former Chief Minister Nallari Kiran Kumar Reddy might contest as the MP from the Rajampet seat

The political landscape of Andhra Pradesh is changing rapidly. It appears that the Bharatiya Janata Party might join the Telugu Desam Party and Janasena for alliance. Things are going well in the process and we might hear an official word on this soon. Both Janasena and TDP gave clarity on this.

Once BJP also gives the clarity it would be official. As things appear to be falling in place for the alliance to get official, the focus went on to the seats the parties would get for the upcoming polls.

One thing is getting all the attention that says that a former CM might be an MP candidate from AP. BJP is adamant about winning the elections with a bigger number so it is focusing on the MP seats more across the states. As part of the same, the BJP wants more MP seats from the alliance.

It is being reported that former Chief Minister Nallari Kiran Kumar Reddy might contest as the MP from the Rajampet seat. Earlier too the BJP got the MP seat as part of the alliance.

In 2014 when TDP-BJP-Janasena went to elections together BJP got the Rajampet seat. Daggubati Purandeswari contested the seat and lost. If everything goes well we might see Kiran Kumar Reddy as the common candidate of the alliance.

If he can be the MP candidate from the Rajampet then we will get to see a face off between Kiran Kumar Reddy and Mithun Reddy who won consecutive elections. Given his stature Kiran Kumar Reddy might pose a big fight.

It has to be mentioned here that the special status of the state is seeing a big importance with Sharmila raising it regularly. Kiran Kumar Reddy was the last CM of the combined state and he openly expressed his support to have a combined state. With this he might have better chances.

If Kiran Kumar Reddy might win the elections then he can get a good importance at the Centre as he will be the first MP of the BJP from Andhra Pradesh after a long time.
