The Andhra Pradesh political landscape has been going through a lot of twists and turns for the past few weeks. A lot of developments took place after the arrest of the Telugu Desam Party chief and we got to see Janasena and TDP joining hands for alliance.

After joining hands, both parties said that they would walk together for the elections, and meetings are being held to draw the strategies for the elections. Both parties are putting special focus on this besides making the parties strong at the root level.

When the parties are confident that they will come to power in the next elections, the focus is now on the seats where Janasena dented TDP in as many as nine districts. Looking at the votes polled in the elections, many say that TDP would have won the elections if not for the Janasena.

YSRCP won the Srikakulam seat with a margin of 5,777 votes while Janasena got 7,557 votes. If Janasena had not contested the elections TDP would have won the seat. The same is the case with Vizianagaram. While YCP won the seat with 6,400 votes, 7,190 were polled for Janasena.

In the Visakhapatnam region, Janasena affected as many as four seats namely Bhimili, Gajuwaka, Anakapalle, and Yelamanchili. The number of votes Janasena got was more than the winning margin. It is known that Pawan Kalyan contested the Gajuwaka seat and he got 58,539. The winning margin was less than half of the votes Pawan got.

Janasena affected nine seats in the East Godavari region. In the Prathipadu seat, Janasena got 6,943 while the YCP won with 4743 votes. In Puthapuram 28,011 votes were polled for Janasena while the winning margin was 14,992

Janasena attracted 33,334 votes in Mummidivaram followed by Amalapuram (SC)-45,200, Razole (SC)-50,053, Gannavaram (SC)-36,000 and Kothapet 35,833. If we minus the votes in the seats, TDP would have won there.

If we look at the West Godavari district, TDP lost seven seats and was restricted to third place two seats. TDP came third in Narasapuram and Bhimavaram in the elections. In the Nidadavole and Achanta seats, the margin was less than one thousand between the victory and Janasena votes.

In the Krishna District, TDP lost eight seats. YSRCP won the Vijayawada Central seat with a mere 25 seats. Though the CPI party earned 29,333 seats, TDP would have won the seat if Janasena had not contested.

If we talk about the Guntur region, Janasena dented the TDP in eight seats. In the Tadikonda (SC) seat, YSRCP emerged victorious with 4,083 votes while the Janasena party received 4992 votes. TDP would be a clear winner in the seat. In Prathipadu (SC) Janasena party received 26,371 votes while the winning margin was just 4,666.

In the Nellore City seat, YSRCP saw a win with a 1988 votes margin while Janasea got 5503 votes. In the Chittoor region. Janasena got 12,315 votes in Tirupati and YCP won the seat with 708 votes. Nagari is Roja’s seat and the party won the seat with a 2708 votes margin. BSP got 3044 votes and it would have been a tough situation in the seat.
