Lok Sabha Polls: Ruling Party-Actors Party Form Alliance!
Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam(DMK) in Tamil Nadu and Kamal Haasan’s Makkal Needhi Maiam would join hands for an alliance.
The political picture is getting interesting in the country as new alliances are coming up. Parties with contrasting stands are also joining hands for alliance. Putting it in simple terms, we are seeing political developments that no one would have predicted. Ahead of the Lok Sabha elections, another alliance came to light.
For some time it has been reported that the ruling Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam(DMK) in Tamil Nadu and Kamal Haasan's Makkal Needhi Maiam would join hands for an alliance. When asked about this Kamal hinted at the same.
Now the alliance has been announced officially. Both parties will join hands for the alliance. For this, Kamal Haasan's party will support DMK and back out of the polls. The party will support DMK in the polls and in turn, it will get one MP seat in 2025.
As MNM is not contesting the Lok Sabha elections to support the DMK, it will get one Rajya Sabha seat next year. The issue took a positive end with two parties decking to join hands.
The ruling DMK is busy finalizing the alliances and seat-sharing issues with the parties as it wants to have a golden run in the Lok Sabha seats, DMK doesn't want the BJP to grow there and spread its wings.
In the last elections, BJP won a few MLA seats but could not do the same in MP seats. This time BJP is confident of showing a big mark as state chief Annamalai is very aggressive. A few leaders from other parties joined the saffron party recently.
The political observers say that to stop the BJP from spreading its wings, DMK is gathering support from other parties for the Lok Sabha polls. As part of this, DMK and MNM joined hands.
