But Mynampally did not get what he wanted from KCR. Amid this, he resigned from the BRS. It is being said that he is gearing up to contest from the Congress party.

On the other hand, it had become interesting to see to whom KCR would dedicate the Malkajgiri seat as Mynampally resigned. Three names are doing rounds as candidates for the seat. MLC Shambipur Raju might run the polls. Shambipur Raju who is very close to KTR might be announced as the candidate likely.

Shambipur Raju's meeting with Finance Minister Harish Rao got some prominence. During the same, Harish Rao is said to have assured the Malkajgiri seat.

Shambipur Raju expected a seat in the first edition of candidates. But he did not get the ticket. It is now said that Mynampally Hanumanth Rao's resignation worked for Shambipur Raju.

Alwal Corporator Vijay Shanti Reddy is also under consideration. She is the daughter-in-law of former MLA Chintala Kanaka Reddy She won the 2020 Greater Hyderabad Municipal elections from Alwal as a BRS candidate. Despite fighting hard for the Mayor post, BRS key leader, former Rajya Sabha member KK's daughter Vijayalakshmi was made the Mayor.

As Mynampally Hanumanth Rao resigned, she might contest the Malkajgiri elections. She is well-read and hails from the Reddy community. These might work for the lady leader.

On the other hand, Labour Minister Malla Reddy's son-in-law Marri Rajasekhar Reddy is also in the race for the Malkajgiri seat. Malla Reddy is putting pressure on KCR on this. Malla Reddy thinks his son-in-law can win the seat.

However, KCR reportedly has different plans. There is a talk that the CM wants to give the Malkajgiri seat to Vijay Shanti and make Malla Reddy's son-in-law run for the Malkajgiri Parliament seat.

Soon after Mynampally Hanumanth Rao announced his resignation, a few major TV channels carried out breaking news saying Marri Rajasekhar Reddy was given the seat. But the BRS party has not announced anything officially. It is said that KCR will announce the Malkajgiri candidate in two to three days.
