MLA Slapped Voter: What He Has To Say?
He said that a voter who goes by the name Sudhakar used objectionable comments against him and alleged that he always supports minorities and SCs.
Elections are underway in poll-bound Andhra Pradesh. Politicians and celebrities are also voting and setting an example for others. However, the election episode saw an unexpected scene with an MLA candidate slapping a voter. As if that is not enough the voter slapped him back.
Going into details, YCP MLA candidate Sivakumar hit the headlines for an unwanted reason. He slapped a voter at a polling booth in Tenali. The concerned voter also did not sit silent and he slapped the MLA back. The incident grabbed everyone’s attention.
Amid this, the MLA responded to the issue and gave his reason for this. He said that a voter who goes by the name Sudhakar used objectionable comments against him and alleged that he always supports minorities and SCs.
The MLA even said that such incidents are planned on purpose as people from abroad are also brought to vote. He said that the comments made by the voter are objectionable and such comments only come with hatred. Siva Kumar went on to say that a few voters complained against Sudhakar that he is drunk and is creating issues for them.
On the other hand, the issue went to the notice of the Election Commission and it called for the action. As per the information, the MLA was reportedly placed under house arrest. The orders state that he was directed to be under house arrest till the elections are concluded.
While the MLA is saying that it was the fault of the voter that made him do that and was under house arrest, it is being reported that the voter was taken to the police station. We might get more information in the case soon.
