The Varanasi seat is not just an MP seat but more than it is to the people as it is represented by Narendra Modi who won the seat thrice in a row. He visited the temple city for the first time after Narendra Modi 3.0 started. He received a grand welcome in Varanasi.

Narendra Modi thanked the people for electing him and said that people elected him as the Prime Minister not just as the MP. On the occasion PM Modi took part in Ganga Aarti and others.

However, his Varanasi visit hit the headlines for a rather unwanted reason as a chappal was hurled at his convoy. From the crowd, a person threw a chappal at the convoy, reports say. The security personnel saw the chappal and threw it back to the people.

The video of the same is now doing rounds. What happened is a shocking incident that raised many eyeballs. One is that he is the Prime Minister and the second one is that Varanasi is his stronghold. This issue created a big row in national politics.

Narendra Modi won the elections thrice in a row from Varanasi. While he won the elections in 2019 with a massive margin of 4.8 lakh, this time the margin was reduced and Modi won with just 1,52,513 votes. The margin came down by around three folds.

Earlier today Narendra Modi visited Bihar to unveil the new Nalanda University. The Prime Minister said that Nalanda University is not just a name but our identity and respect. Special facilities were added to the new Campus including classrooms, auditoriums, and others.
