Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi donned the Air Force Uniform and took a sortie on the Tejas aircraft in Bengaluru.
Indian Air Force is dubbed as one of the Top 10 Strongest Air Forces in the World. It is an absolute honour to don the Air Force and represent the country. No words can describe the happiness one goes through with a uniform on their body and flying the special jets. The Prime Minister experienced this.
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi donned the Air Force Uniform and took a sortie on the Tejas aircraft in Bengaluru. Taking to social media the PM said that he had a successful sortie of the aircraft and he had an incredible experience.
While sharing his experience Narendra Modi said that his confidence in the indigenous capabilities of the country increased massively. It is a big sense of pride for me, he said. Modi visited the Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) site in Bengaluru and took a sortie.
"Successfully completed a sortie on the Tejas. The experience was incredibly enriching, significantly bolstering my confidence in our country's indigenous capabilities, and leaving me with a renewed sense of pride and optimism about our national potential," the Prime Minister said on social media.
Tejas is a dual-seat trainer flight that was delivered to the IAF recently. Back in 2021 the Defence Ministry and Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd landed into an agreement to procure as many as 83 Tejas MK-1A jets. The worth of the deal is over 40,000 crores.
In a few months, the delivery of these aircraft would begin. As per the estimation, 83 LCA Mk 1A aircraft delivery might start by February next year. The Indian Air Force already has a few air jets that help in air combat. The inclusion of these jets would make the forces even more lethal and powerful.
