A stint with TDP, BJP, Congress, and BRS. History of contesting as Bahujan Left Front candidate. 40 years of political experience, served as Minister, and became MLA not once but six times. This is the legacy of Motkupalli Narasimhulu. He became the MLA back in 1983 and served and won five times as MLA by 1999. He became the MLA the last time in 2009 from Thungathurthy. In 2014, he contested the Madhira seat in Khammam. Though Alair is a general seat, he contested from there in 2018 and lost.
Targeted KCR During His Stint with TDP:
Motkupalli Narasimhulu's political journey started with the TDP. He was with the party till 2018. Despite hailing from the Nalgonda district where the Telangana movement was strong, he did not leave the party. At the same time, he used to make strong comments against BRS(TRS then) chief KCR. He used to behave as part of the political moves.
Reports Of Governor Post:
It is known that TDP came to power in the divided AP in 2014. Back then reports said that Motkupalli Narasimhulu might get preference. As the BJP-TDP government was in place in the state and at the Centre, reports claimed that he might get appointed as Governor. But that did not happen and he left TDP in 2018.
Targeted Chandrababu Before 2019:
At the time of the 2019 elections, Motkupalli came down heavily on Chandrababu Naidu. As the criticism was aimed at the TDP boss, the YSRCP made the best of it. His comments received prominence back then.
BRS chief KCR welcomed Motkupalli in 2021 September after he resigned from BJP in July 2021. During the Huzurabad by-election, many felt that he might be made the chairman of the newly introduced Dalit Bandhu Scheme. But no one knows what happened next. During the Munugode by-election, KCR visited the Yadadri temple along with Motkupalli.
Motkupalli did not get the importance in BRS. He did not get a spot in the recent candidates' list as well. Looks like he is not happy with this. Chandrababu Naidu's arrest happened in the middle. He took part in a Deeksha in support of Chandrababu. He made strong comments against KCR that he would not let Dalits come near. He also targeted AP CM Jagan and said that people are laughing at his schemes. He termed Jagan as a dictator.
He showered praises on TPCC chief Revanth Reddy and said that the party became strong only because of him. His comments started a debate that he might join Congress.
