Former MP Butta Renuka: neither here nor there

Totally unconnected to politics, a young woman suddenly becomes an MP and does not know how to go about. Though she had won, her party couldn't win. So, within days, she shifts her allegiance to the rival party, which is in power. Three years down the line, she feels that her heart is still in the first party and goes back into it. Nine years later, she is neither here nor there and does not know what to do.

Guess who's this politician!! You got it right. We are talking about Butta Renuka. This Kurnool former MP had won on YSRCP ticket in 2014 and then jumped into the TDP. Before the 2019 elections, he came back into the YSRCP and announced that she would work like an ordinary worker for the party. YS Jagan too did not promise her any post.

It's been four years and the state is now in election mood. But Butta Renuka has no guarantee for her political future. She is trying to contest as an MP from Kurnool. But, the party has not shown any inclination to make her the candidate. Sitting MP Jayakumar Reddy is a strong contender for the seat.

At the same time, her attempts to foray into constituencies like Pathikonda and others too have not yielded any results. As a result, she is finding that her political career is now at the crossroads and she does not know what to do. At this stage, she can neither switch over to the TDP. Thus, the hasty decision to join the TDP is casting a long shadow over her political career.
