Assassinated IPS's Wife Appointed As West Godavari Collector!

His wife Naga Rani was appointed as the Deputy Collector. Sailing through ranks she got appointed as the West Godavari Collector.

He is the late IPS officer who left a big legacy as a fearless cop. The IPS officer is surely a daredevil cop who did not spare criminals and Naxalites. At the early age of 33, he was killed by the Naxalites. Now his wife is appointed as the district collector in Andhra Pradesh.

Chadalavada Umesh Chandra is a name that needs no introduction. The IPS officer is dubbed as one of the most respected cops. He breathed his last in the Naxal attack. Cut to a few decades his wife was appointed as the Collector, a promotion from Deputy Collector.

The IPS officer was killed in 1999 in the combined state of Andhra Pradesh. His wife Naga Rani was appointed as the Deputy Collector. Sailing through ranks she got appointed as the West Godavari Collector.

She hails from East Godavari district. Interestingly, she was appointed as the Collector of West Godavari. She worked across the departments and now she has become the District Collector.

Umesh Chandra is a 1991 batch IPS officer who played a key role in fighting the Naxal issue. This made him the target of Naxals who assassinated him in 1999. A statue was set up in 2000 in Hyderabad. His family runs a trust to run humanitarian work under his name.
