Nirmala Sitharaman's Warning To AP Government!
She said that they are giving warnings to the state on the financial situations. She said that the Centre has the power under Article 293.
Ever since the YS Jagan Mohan Reddy-led YSRCP came to power, the decisions it has been taking often hit the headlines. The opposition parties try to target the ruling party on the financial status and burden the schemes bring. On many occasions, they said that the schemes are pushing the state into a big burden.
The opposition parties took a few steps and even said that if the same continues then it would not take much time for the state to become another Sri Lanka to face the financial crisis.
Now a strong statement came from Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on the Andhra Pradesh situation. She said that they are giving warnings to the state on the financial situations. She said that the Centre has the power under Article 293.
The topic was raised in the Parliament during the question and answer hour in Lok Sabha by TDP MP Ram Mohan Naidu. In response, the Union Minister said that they are giving suggestions and warnings to the state government on the financial situation regularly and under Article 293 Centre has the facility.
On the other hand, the TDP MP also made strong allegations against the government and said that the government is taking loans by showing the liquor income. Having flayed the government, the opposition MP also asked what the Centre can do if the state goes out of the line as far as the financial situation is concerned.
In response, she said that there is an FRBM limit for both central and state governments. Having said that, the Union Minister said the Assembly will take care of the FRBM Act. She said that under the section they are giving suggestions and the required measures will be taken.
