Layoff Torture: 18 Yrs Employees Hard To Digest!

It is already known that some of the biggest companies in the world have started to fire employees at an elevated rate due to the increased alignment with artificial intelligence. Even big companies like Oracle have started to fire employees at large.

Now we have the discussion about the recent firing operation that was completed by Oracle where thousands of jobs were lost globally. The company has fired nearly 30,000 people till now, and the number is keeping on raising.

On that note, there is an interesting discussion that is happening now as it is being established that employees who had worked with Oracle for more than 15 to 18 years have also been fired recently.

It is being reported that several teams are completed devastated by this human workforce depletion. Teams that have worked for more than indicated together and have developed bonding within them, are unable to process that several of their colleagues have been fired by the company.

Reportedly Oracle had fired many individuals who have been with them for more than 18 years and showed absolute loyalty at all times. So this is leaving them in a tough position, and also the teams that they had worked with considering the compatibility that they would have built all the time.

This is perhaps an indication of the changing market in the IT market where jobs are not secured anymore, and there can be pretty strong consequences at all times.

It is perhaps responsibility of the working force to make sure that they keep their skills updated and are ready to switch companies whenever needed. It is evident that loyalty and long run accounting for nothing in this prevailing layoff operation.
