2012 Padma Awardee Working As Daily Wager Now?

Padma Award is one of the prominent civilian awards in the country as they are given to personalities who make valuable contributions in their respective fields. But the plight of a Padma Awardee is grabbing everyone's attention as he is reportedly working as a daily wager to make ends meet.

Darshanam Mogulaiah is a popular name in Telugu states as he is known for playing a special instrument called Kinnera. He has been playing the instrument for a very long time and said that his family has been doing the same for generations.

He became the talk of the town when he was honoured with the Padma Shri in 2022. Along with other personalities he was presented with the civilian award. It is known that the previous government felicitated him and announced a cash reward as well.

Cut to 2024 he was reportedly spotted working at a site as a daily wager. It is being reported that he is not getting any support and with this, he picked up the job. It is said that he needs Rs 7,000 a month for medical expenses and then he has other expenses too.

The media reports say that the amount he used to get every month, Rs 10,000 as honorarium was also stopped along with the grant and house plot that was allocated for him. The Padma Awardee reportedly working as a daily wager came as a surprise to one and all.

Mogulaiah shot to super fame when he got a chance to work for Pawan Kalyan's Bheemla Nayak. He even featured in a song. But now he is said to be dealing with a lot of problems.
