Pakistani Arrested In USA For Allegedly Plotting Attack On Trump & Others!
Asif Merchant who is 46 years old has been taken into custody after his attempts to k*ll Americans by hiring an assassin.
The FBI has put an end to the attempt of a Pakistani who tried to attack former US President Donald Trump along with a few other politicians. The accused has strong connections to Iran and the FBI director revealed this. He termed it as an attempt to murder by Iran. Asif Merchant who is 46 years old has been taken into custody after his attempts to kill Americans by hiring an assassin.
He was arrested in New York. Asif Merchant traveled from Pakistan to America. He was in Iran for a long time too and his family stays there. He discussed his plan with a person whom he believed would help. But that certain person informed the police and the hired assassin turned out to be an undercover officer.
Attorney General Merrick Garland said in a press release, “For years, the Justice Department has been working aggressively to counter Iran's brazen and unrelenting efforts to retaliate against American public officials for the killing of Iranian General [Qassem] Soleimani.”
Asif Merchant said, “People who will be targeted are the ones who are hurting Pakistan and the world, the Muslim world. These are not normal people.” FBI Director Christopher Wrap said, “This dangerous murder-for-hire plot exposed in today's charges allegedly was orchestrated by a Pakistani national with close ties to Iran and is straight out of the Iranian playbook.”
