PCC Chief Post: Congress Leadership Preferring Seethakka?
By appointing Seethakka as the TPCC chief they can come out of the image and get good marks in the books of the women's community.
As we have done with the Lok Sabha elections and waiting for the results to be announced, the Congress high command is said to be busy with a big task to appoint a leader in a key position. Once the Lok Sabha election results are out, the process will be speeded up and we might hear the big news
Going by the information that is coming from the political circles, Congress wants to change the TPCC Chief. Revanth Reddy is serving as the Chief Minister and holding the TPCC Chief post too. By having a separate TPCC Chief Revanth would get more time to focus on the state. Moreover, Congress has been following the policy of having separate CMs and state chiefs.
There is a big buzz around the post and it is said that Seethakka is being considered for the TPCC chief and the high command might announce her as Revanth’s replacement soon. A few seniors are also said to be in the race.
It is said that Congress wants to make a big statement by appointing her as the TPCC chief as usually we see men in such posts. Moreover, she is from the Tribal community and it also sends a message that they are giving big importance to the community.
Seethakka has a good image among people, and we have seen how she helped people in her constituency during the Covid. The chances of other leaders saying no this are very thing.
Usually, Congress has the image of preferring one community for such big positions. By appointing Seethakka as the TPCC chief they can come out of the image and get good marks in the books of the women's community.
Considering all these points, it is said that the High Command is preferring Seethakka over other seniors in the race. We might get clarity on this once the party announces it officially. On the other hand, a discussion is also going on about whether she would step down from the Ministry if she is given the TPCC Chief. Let us wait and see.
