Phone Tapping Case: Accused Cops Might Face Life Term?

The Phone tapping issue is the burning issue in Telangana right now. It is said that the phones of prominent people across the sectors were allegedly tapped. The issue came to light when a case was registered with the Banjara Hills Police Station. After digging deeper into the case, sensational details started popping up.

The issue also increased the political heat in the state with a war of words between the parties. Adding more intensity a few cops were arrested as the accused. Cops getting arrested and facing questions became a sensation.

Now a big doubt is doing rounds on the case which says whether the arrested cops would face a life term as the investigating officers are likely to add big charges in the case which says they might end up facing a life term.

As per the media reports, the investigating officers added a few sections of Cyber terrorism in the case and 66 F IT Act might also be used. Under this circumstance, the cops might face a life. If this happens then it would be a big sensation in the case.

It is said that the case was already registered under IT ACT-70 which says that the accused might face ten years jail if the allegations are proven. On top of this, if the 66 F IT Act is also used then they might face a life term.

Cyber terrorism is not a small thing and is only used in very sensitive matters. On top of this, this is probably the first time Cyber terrorism charges were slapped against the cops. The arrested ops held key positions in various departments.
