Will Pilli Subhash ditch YSRCP, join TDP?
Bose, who had been a diehard YSR loyalist, followed YS Jagan when the latter formed the YSRCP.
Will one of the most trusted YS Jagan supporters leave the party and join his long-time enemy TDP? This is the hottest topic of speculation in the Ramachandrapuram assembly constituency these days. With former minister and Rajya Sabha MP Pilli Subhash Chandra Bose raising a banner of revolt, it appears almost certain that he would have to leave the YSRCP.
Bose, who had been a diehard YSR loyalist, followed YS Jagan when the latter formed the YSRCP. He stayed with YS Jagan through thick and thin. In the 2019 elections, he rooted for the candidature of Chelluboyina Venu, who belongs to his caste. However, relations between both Bose and Venu soured after the latter became a minister.
Since then, Bose has been opposing Venu and has sent enough indications that he would promote the candidature of his son Suryaprakash for the 2024 elections. However, the YSRCP top boss is in no mood to oblige Pilli Subhash Chandra Bose. Meanwhile, Bose too has toughened his stand and has refused to take the calls of Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy, who tried to mediate.
It is now reliably learnt that Pilli Subhash Chandra Bose might join the TDP and make his son Suryaprakash contest on the bicycle symbol. If that happens, this promises to be the mother of all battles as Pilli has been nurturing Ramachandrapuram constituency for over 25 years and Venu has made a mark for himself within a short time
