All this is in the debate as former Congress chief Rahul Gandhi made some crucial comments on women's dressing. He interacted with women students at an educational institution. During the same he made some critical comments and said that they can decide on what they can wear.

Rahul Gandhi interacted with the students of the Aligarh Muslim University in Uttar Pradesh. It is known that Rahul Gandhi is busy with his second yatra. As part of that he visited the students and made some crucial comments.

When a female student asked him about the much-talked-about Hijab controversy, Rahul Gandhi said that no one can decide what women can wear and they should be deciding. He said that women can decide what they can wear and no one has the power to decide on this.

It has to be mentioned here that the Hijab row started in Karnataka earlier which became the talk of the town. When the BJP was in power in the last term, wearing Hijab was banned in educational institutions which led to protests across the nation. Even the international media covered the news and the issue went to the notice of the Supreme Court too.

After the shift in power in the state the decision was changed. The Congress party allowed wearing hijab saying that there would be no restrictions on what students wear and the government would not impose any restrictions. Amid this, Rahul Gandhi made these comments.
