RCB chased down a target of 204 runs, finishing on 204 for 4 in 19.4 overs to secure a six-wicket victory with two balls to spare in what became the highest successful chase in WPL final history.
Batting first, Delhi Capitals scored 203 for 4, led by Jemimah Rodrigues (57 off 37) and supported by Laura Wolvaardt (44) and an explosive cameo from Chinelle Henry (35 not out off 15). In reply, RCB’s captain Smriti Mandhana starred with 87 off 41 balls, while Georgia Voll struck 79 off 54, the pair sharing a record 165-run partnership for the second wicket that anchored the chase. The match went down to the wire, and Radha Yadav hit crucial boundaries to finish the game in dramatic fashion.
This defeat marked Delhi Capitals’ fourth straight loss in a WPL final, continuing their search for a maiden title, while RCB celebrated lifting their second trophy in the league’s four-season history.
