Revanth Reddy announces crack down on betting apps

For the last few days, there have been several discussions about the detrimental effects of online gambling and rummy culture that has been directly affecting Telugu population. Even yesterday, there was this case of a 29 year old Telangana man commit committing suicide after losing money in online betting activities.
On discount, Telangana chief minister Revanth Reddy has announced his action plan to completely eradicate this online gambling culture from the state.
The chief minister brought up this topic in the Telangana assembly itself today, and he was very vocal about the measures that have to be taken soon. He confidently said he would do everything in his power to eradicate this antisocial activity.
“This online gaming and gambling activities are to be taken very seriously, and Telangana government has taken note of it. Very soon, we will start to crack on such activities and everyone concerned under the law. We are constituting a SIT investigation on this case with CBCID officials. Might even commission a few law enforcement authorities. We will definitely take action against such activities and those who are behind them” Revanth Reddy said.
The chief minister was very adamant about the kind of action that will be taken against such illegal online activities that are ruining the lives of several youngsters. It is appreciable and good that the chief minister has taken such a strong note of this and the responsibility is on him to take affirmative action in this regard.
