CM Wants Sanatana Dharma Row To Be Stopped!
The row started over with Udhayanidhi Stalin’s comments becoming even bigger with few other leaders from the party making similar comments. People like Prakash Raj.
Tamil Nadu is a strong Dravidian land and leaders coming from there made controversial comments on Sanatana Dharma a few times. Going by the same, Tamil Nadu Cabinet Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin made some objectionable comments on Sanatana Dharma. As he is the son of the Chief Minister, the issue became more sensational.
The row started over with Udhayanidhi Stalin’s comments becoming even bigger with few other leaders from the party making similar comments. People like Prakash Raj. The Tamil Nadu wing of BJP lashed out at the Minister and state chief Annamalai said he would gift Bhagavad Gita to Stalin.
The DMK party is facing severe flak over these comments and the INDIA, in which DMK is also a part is also under fire. Sensing danger from the comments, the parties in the INDIA alliance are distancing themselves from the comments and are condemning what the Minister said.
Amid this. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin decided to put an end to the Sanatana Dharma row. It is said that the DMK chief directed the party leaders and functionaries to not make any further comments on Sanatana Dharma and the focus should be shifted from the topic.
Talking about the fight with the BJP, the Chief Minister reportedly said that the focus should be highlighting the issues and problems in the decisions taken by the BJP and the ruling party is trying to grab the attention of everyone with the issue which is not good.
Political observers say that what the CM is thinking is right. The fight against the BJP and its policies was sidelined with Sanatana Dharma taking the front place. With Lok Sabha polls one year away, it is the right call from the DMK.
