Did BJP and Janasena come to a common opinion on seat sharing in Telangana? Did the BJP leadership finalize the number of seats and the constituencies that would be allotted to Janasena? Well, the reports say yes to this. It is said that the BJP decided to give 11 seats to Janasena. Earlier Janasena announced that it would contest 32 seats and BJP said it would contest the elections without any alliance.

While no one knows what happened, the two parties came together for alliance. However, the seat-sharing aspect became an issue. Janasena expected 20 seats in sharing as it earlier announced contesting 32 seats. On the other hand, the BJP offered 6 to 8 seats. With this, there was no common opinion between the parties. Not just the constituencies count, but a few seats like Kukatpally, Serilingampalle, and LB Nagar also led to the issues between the two parties.

With this, the BJP came up with a via-media solution for this. As part of this, the BJP reportedly decided to allot 11 seats for Janasena and it is also ready to sacrifice the Kukatpally seat. Janasena stressed on the three seats strongly for the reason that the Seemandhra population is more there. With this, the BJP decided to allot the Kukatpally seat to Janasena. It is said that the other seats would be in Khammam and Nalgonda regions. BJP bigwigs reportedly think that it would be a plus for Janasena if the seats are allocated in Khammam and Nalgonda districts which share the AP border.

The party’s Central Election Committee in Delhi is said to have approved the proposal made by the Telangana BJP. An official announcement on the allotted seats might be made after discussing with Janasena Chief Pawan Kalyan who is in Italy now. The same was informed to the Telangana in charges of the Janasena party. It appears that seat sharing was confirmed between the parties finally.
