Is This The Reason Behind YS Sharmila's Silence?
YS Sharmila wants to maintain a low profile now without facing any controversies and giving unwanted statements.
It is known that the political parties in Telangana are very active as the elections are approaching. The ruling BRS is busy with campaign activities. The BJP leaders are in the news with the double bedroom visit campaign. At the same time, the Telangana Congress leaders are also said to be busy. However, Sharmila is very silent.
Sharmila became a hot topic in state politics with the massive padayatra, her arrest for questioning the government, and the TSPSC question paper leakage issue. However, she has become silent now. She is not getting any coverage.
Sharmila is not involved in any activities of late and she is restricted to just Twitter. She made a sensational announcement earlier this month on the elections on the eve of Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy's birth anniversary. She made it clear that she would contest the next elections. Sharmila said she would contest from Paleru.
Except for that announcement, there is no activity or program from Sharmila's side. With this, reports started doing rounds that she is restricted to just back door politics and she is busy merging her party into the Congress party. However, there are also reports that Sharmila might also contest the Secunderabad Lok Sabha polls and KVP is making moves for this.
On the other side, it is said that PCC Chief Revanth Reddy is not in favour of Sharmila merging her party into the Congress. He already expressed his dissatisfaction with this by calling Sharmila a 'person from Andhra'. So Sharmila is said to be busy on the alliance/merger and she is making moves for this.
Sharmila reportedly met Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister, KPCC chief DK Shiva Kumar a few times. On the other hand, K. V. P. Ramachandra Rao is also said to be busy with the efforts for this. Meeting Rahul Gandhi is only left and after this, Sharmila would become the Congress leader, reports say.
It is said that YS Sharmila wants to maintain a low profile now without facing any controversies and giving unwanted statements. Merging the YSRCP into Congress is not the main issue and the importance Sharmila will get after joining the party. So this is resulting in the process getting delayed.
However, the observers say that Sharmila's silence and Revanth's violence will break with the Delhi leadership's call. When will the Delhi leadership call and when will Sharmila break her silence? When will Revanth's violence become silent is the million-dollar question now.
