The Paris Olympics continue to hit the headlines for the wrong reasons. From criticism over lack of facilities to food to gender- row of a boxer the ongoing Olympics faced many controversies. Now another one rocked the tournament over the criticism of the poor quality of the medals that are given to the athletes.

An American skater has created a new row by alleging that the medal that was given to him was of poor quality as it changed its colour in just one week. The alleged pictures of the medals that look like flake are now doing rounds on social media.

American skater Nyjah Huston won a bronze in men's street skateboarding earlier last month. However, he took to social media to allege the quality of the medal is reducing as it lost colour slightly.

Expressing dissatisfaction over the quality of the medals he said that it appears as if the medal went to war and returned. Taking a dig at the quality the skater said that the medals are meant to be put in cases.

Quality metals are used to make the medals which are given to the athletes for their excellence. The same medals faded out. This is now what we expect from the Olympic medals. Winning the medal is a prestigious moment for the athletes which is an example of excellence and days after winning the medal its colour faded out.
