The Lok Sabha elections have started and the polls will be held in a phased manner. One seat is getting all the attention as a Telugu woman is the candidate. She is the wife of strong leader Dhananjay Singh who is in jail now.
Going into details former MP Dhananjay Singh was sent to jail on the charges of extortion. As he was in jail many felt that the fight in the Jaunpur Lok Sabha seat would be between the ruling BJP and Samajwadi Party. But the Samajwadi Party came up with a big surprise. Singh's wife Srikala Reddy is the candidate.
Srikala Reddy hails from Telangana. She is the Jaunpur Zilla Parishad Chairman. This is the first time she is contesting as the MP. Reddy is confident that she can win the elections as her husband is a known face.
It is said that she is busy campaigning in the Lok Sabha seat. Besides campaigning for her in the elections, Srikala Reddy is said to be targeting her opponents saying that they are non-locals and they leave the constituency after the elections. Saying that she is local Srikala Reddy said that she will stay there and will help the voters.
