In the modern day and era where consensual relationships are a norm, there is the need to enhance the law and order system to curb the cases pertaining to the same. In one such historic judgement today, the Supreme Court noted that consensual s*x had through extramarital relationships can't be classified as a crime henceforth.

The court noted that it has become common for women to play victim cards after being in consensual extramarital relationships and then torturing men with court cases.

It has been adjudged that consensual relationships that are carried outside of the legal marriage circle aren't necessarily regarded as crimes. In this connection, the apex court struck down a case in Mumbai where a widowed woman complained about extramarital relationship with a man.

The essential observation here is that if a man and a woman are consensually in a relationship outside of the marital grounds, and if things go wrong, one can't accuse the other of sexual crimes by citing their earlier coming together. This really is a historic judgement by the Supreme Court and sets a new precedent for the upgraded adjudication systems that are the need of the hour in the modern society.
