Things are not going well between Telangana Chief Minister KCR and Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan. The rift between them is dubbed as Pragathi Bhavan vs. Raj Bhavan. It started with the Governor alleging protocol violations. She openly said that the protocols were not followed and the ruling party members hit back.
The fight between them gets wider with the Governor rejecting two recommendations made by the government for the MLC nominations. It is said that the Raj Bhavan sent back the nominations to the Cabinet.
Going into details, the Telangana government nominated Dasoju Sravan and K Satyanarayana to the Legislative Council under the governor's quota and sent the nominations to the Governor. However, Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan rejected the nominations and is said to have told the government to avoid such people.
Media reports are abuzz that the Governor rejected the nominations saying that they are Politically aligned persons. This did not go well with the BRS leaders and they are expressing their concerns over this.
On the other hand, this is not the first time Telangana governor Tamilisai Soundararajan rejected the nominations sent by the government. Earlier, she rejected the nomination of BRS leader Padi Kaushik Reddy shedding light on the cases pending against him.
This became a big sensation back then and a war of words broke out. The BRS leaders openly expressed their dissatisfaction with this. The incident only added fuel to the rift between both sides. Later Padi Kaushik Reddy became an MLC under the MLAs quota.
