It is already known that the horrifying Nepal flood disaster has killed multiple individuals as the tally are suggesting that more than 500 people have died till now. Now we are hearing an interesting update regarding a few Telugu passengers.
Multiple Telugu people who were in Kathmandu Nepal for a religious and spiritual trip had escaped brutal consequences due to a tea break and here’s a look into the same.
The 26 pilgrims from Andhra Pradesh started their Kailash Mansarovar Yatra from Tirupati and were travelling from Kathmandu towards the China border on August 25.
They had already spent two days in Kathmandu due to visa clearance delays. After leaving at around 6 AM, they stopped for a short tea break on the way.
Another bus carrying pilgrims from West Bengal, which was travelling with them, moved ahead and was caught in the disaster, hitting a bridge.
Meanwhile, locals and the driver of a bus ahead alerted their driver that floodwaters were approaching and asked him to immediately turn back.
The driver acted without hesitation, reversed the bus and took all 26 pilgrims to a safer location. The pilgrims later said they were just around 100 metres away from the floodwaters
