Thanks to the upcoming general elections in Telangana we are witnessing shocking scenes that we would have not expected or predicted. Major parties are going after other outfits to join hands. We have seen BJP and Janasena joining hands. If everything had gone well then we might have seen Congress and CPM together.
The ruling Bharat Rashtra Samithi which is eyeing its third consecutive win is going solo to the elections. However, political observers say that there are friendly ties between BRS and AIMIM and the parties help each other whenever the other side is in a problem.
The decision of AIMIM says that it was taken to benefit the BRS and the Chief Minister might be looking to checkmate the Congress with the help of Congress. The move would not only trouble Congress but also help the ruling BRS and everyone is talking about this.
AIMIM party has been sticking to the Old City limits in the elections for a very long time and it is focusing on seven seats that it contests. However, the party decided to expand its reach and announced that it would contest nine seats. Rajendranagar and Jubilee Hills are the new seats MIM will contest.
The political observers say that it might be KCR's idea to bring MIM to Jubilee Hills so that former Indian captain Azharuddin who is the Congress party candidate can be checkmate with this. Considering various aspects the decision is said to have been taken.
Jubilee Hills is one of the posh localities in the city and it also enjoys a Muslim population in big numbers. The Muslim population is very significant and they can be a deciding factor in the polls.
It is said that MIM came into the picture to help the BRS by splitting the votes. Whenever such a split situation happens it is the ruling party that gets the advantage and the same would be the case with the BRS in the Jubilee Hills seat.
Splitting the votes is one aspect and not letting the Congress party get the anti-government votes is the second aspect behind the move say the political observers. It appears that both parties came up with a big strategy to win the Jubilee Hills Seat.
