BJP Stressing BC Mantra For Telangana Elections?
While stressing that the BC leader will be the Chief Minister, he also attacked KCR on his promise of making a Dalit person the CM.
BJP which is aiming for a hattrick at the Lok Sabha polls is seeing the Assembly elections as semi-finals and the saffron party wants to win the elections in the poll-bound states to have an advantage. As the election schedule was released by the Election Commission the party is focusing on the states.
Telangana is one of the poll-bound states. Bharatiya Janata Party is putting in its best efforts to woo the voters. For this, the party is singing the BC tunes. If we look at the first phase of the candidates list, we can see BCs getting a significant number of seats.
As another big push for the BC Mantra, Union Home Minister Amit Shah made some big statements. Jana Garjana Sabha was held in Suryapet in Telangana and big crowds attended the meeting. Addressing the gathering he made some big comments.
Amit Shah requested the people in the state to bless the party and help it come to power and if voted to power, a BC leader will be made the Chief Minister of the state.
"I would like to request the people of Telangana to bless us and help us form govt in the state. We have decided that the next CM of Telangana would be from a backward class," the Union Home Minister said.
While stressing that the BC leader will be the Chief Minister, he also attacked KCR on his promise of making a Dalit person the CM. He asked what happened to the promise of making Dalit the Chief Minister and three acres of land to the community.
On the occasion, the Union Home Minister also slammed the BRS and Congress for family politics. He said that both parties are family parties and they are not for the welfare of the people.
Looking at the efforts of the BJP, it is evident that the party wants to go with the BC mantra. But the question here is can the BC mantra help the party in coming to power? Forget about coming to power, it will be a big achievement for the party if it can win over 15 seats.
