For a long time, now, Telugu cinema has been struggling due to the film piracy activities. With the arrest of Ravi, who operated one of the biggest syndicate in the piracy system, IBomma, a solution is bound to be found.

And now Telugu Cinema has taken another progressive step towards the elimination of film piracy, and they are collaborating with Telangana cyber Police for the same.

The Telangana Cyber Security Bureau (TGCSB) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce (TFCC) to strengthen coordinated action against digital film piracy.

The MoU was signed in the presence of B. Shivadhar Reddy, IPS, Director General of Police, and the representatives of Telugu film chamber.

This collaboration focuses on real-time monitoring, swift takedowns, and coordinated legal action against piracy across websites, social media platforms, messaging apps, IPTV streams, and mobile applications.

By enabling faster intelligence sharing and operational coordination between law enforcement and the film industry, the MoU aims to curb time-sensitive piracy that causes significant losses within minutes of film releases.

Telangana continues to lead the way in protecting creative content and strengthening the digital ecosystem through technology-driven cybercrime enforcement.

This is going to be a very important step towards elimination of film piracy to the fullest capacity and it has to be seen what kind of a positive effect this would have on the industry henceforth.
