The political heat in Telangana increased at once as the elections are fast approaching. The much-awaited elections are just 15 days away from now. With less time in hand, the parties and candidates are giving their best efforts to woo the voters. Be it public meetings or social media campaigns they are not leaving any stone unturned.

Recently we have seen the Election Commission giving a shock to the parties in the state by banning a few ads. Not just banning the ads, notices were also sent to the concerned parties. It was an expected blow to the parties which designed ads to seek the attention of the people.

Amid this, the focus is on two scions who come from different backgrounds. The common point they share is that they are third-generation leaders who want to try their luck in the upcoming elections. Even in the middle of other big leaders, they have managed to grab everyone's attention.

Parnika Reddy who hails from the Chittem family is in the political race this time. Her grandfather Narsi Reddy has a glorious legacy in politics and she wants to take forward the same. She is gearing up to contest from the Narayanpet seat which was the strong zone of her grandfather who served as the MLA a few times. Narsi Reddy was a freedom fighter and then ventured into politics. He won thrice as an MLA. He died in a blood-shed Naxal attack. Eight others including his son were killed in the deadly attack that happened in 2005.

Another third-generation leader in the race is Pranav Vodithala. His grandfather is a former MP. Now he is all set to contest the intense Huzurabad seat. He is locking horns with big leaders in the seat which is interesting. Firebrand leader Etela Rajender who was with the BRS switched to BJP and won the by-election. He is the BJP candidate now and the ruling BRS fielded Koushik Reddy as the candidate. From Congress, Pranav is trying his luck.

Those who follow politics in Telangana will be aware of the Vodithala family. Pranav's grandfather V. Rajeshwar Rao served as an MP and also participated in the Telangana movement. He is the founder of the Vodithala Education Society. However, Pranav switched to Congress and is contesting the Huzurabad seat now.
