This Former Minister Is Also Looking At Congress?

Things are going well for the Congress party. It appears that the impact of the election win in neighbouring Karnataka is on Telangana. But now, many believe that Congress can checkmate the ruling party.

Former Minister To Take Congress Route:

Only a few leaders worked as the Ministers in Telangana and the combined Andhra Pradesh. We can count leaders who worked under three Chief Ministers for a decade. Thummala Nageswara Rao, who is from the Khammam district has a special record. Since 1985, he has worked as Minister in the cabinets of NTR, Chandrababu Naidu, and KCR.

Facing Challenging Times:

Thummala came to Khammam after the Sathupalli seat was made a reserved one in 2009. He won the elections there. However, he lost the 2014 elections before the bifurcation. With things going his way, Thummala Nageswara Rao joined the BRS. He even served as the Minister. As an MLC, he contested the Paleru seat and won. However, he lost the 2018 elections. Though many predicted that he would get a ticket as he is close to KCR, Kandala Upender Reddy who defected from Congress got the ticket. With this, Thummala is going to make a key decision.

Media reports say that Thummala, who is busy in his hometown, is expected to take a big decision in the first week of next month. It is said that he is gearing up to take the Congress route. If this happens, then the Congress will be strong in Khammam district. People like Ponguleti already brought Josh to the party. If Thummala joins him, then there will be no looking back. With this, Ponguleti's oath to win all the 10 seats in the combined Khammam can be achieved.
