Does Tollywood's Interference Required In AP Elections?

Prominent personalities in the Telugu film industry who were missing during the Telangana elections are openly expressing their support for the Andhra Pradesh elections. Mega Star Chiranjeevi who supported the TDP-Jana Sena-BJP alliance released a video urging voters to vote for CM Ramesh, BJP Candidate from Anakapalli, Pendurthi Janasena candidate Panchakarla Ramesh Babu. This led to criticism as well. A debate was also held on whether Chiranjeevi is still in Congress or not. Reports also say that he might campaign for Tammudu Pawan Kalyan in Pithapuram.

We are seeing Chiranjeevi, his family members, and a few TV artists supporting the TDP-Jana Sena-BJP alliance and even participating in campaigns. Amid this Tollywood producer Dil Raju extended his support to YCP leader Balineni Srinivasa Rao. Writer Kona Venkat is praising the Jagan government. It had become common for Posani Krishna Murali to appear before the media ahead of elections to target Chandrababu and praise Jagan.

Janasena chief Pawan Kalyan in his latest campaign speech made key comments. He said that NTR who brought recognition to the Telugus did not get support from the other actors in the Tollywood industry and he did not say anything even after Superstar Krishna targeted him and this was his dignity. This created a big row and actor Naresh also took a strong objection. Mahesh kept his silence on the issue. Akkineni family was silent on AP politics.

The political observers wonder what is the need for the bigwigs to get divided into groups and interfere in politics and whether this helps or not. They say that bigwigs staying away from politics is good for the industry growth but they are not thinking about it.Now we have to wait and see what happens.
