USA Will Not Support India In A Pak War: Does It Matter?

The latest message from the USA is that they will not automatically support India in a future war with Pakistan. Taking this into cognisance, many leftist leaders have already started blaming Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government for the USA-backed way. However, if we look deeper into this, many are wondering when the USA actually backed India in any war with Pakistan? Also, given the current position of the USA in the Israel-Iran war, does their support mean anything at all?

In fact, the war with Iran exposed the reach and influence of the American military, which failed big time to secure their allied locations inside the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and other countries. Looking at this one would easily ask, if the USA itself is struggling to decisively take control of one nation like Iran, what exactly can it realistically offer in a high-stakes India-Pakistan war? According to the Global Firepower (2026) rankings, India stands at 4th globally, while Pakistan is at 14th. India’s advantage begins with manpower, followed by budget, land systems, air assets, and naval dominance. The size of the Indian army is more than double that of the Pakistani army, while the navy of the enemy state has no carrier ships at all. Guess what, other than claiming that they have 160-180 nuclear weapons, which is equivalent to that of India's arsenal, the enemy state has no other advantage. While the USA’s stance might look like betrayal because they have huge trade deals with India, surely it’s a realistic position too, because the so-called supreme power can’t take sides, and get hit big time, like how it is happening in the Iran war, say USA experts.
