The United States is the preferred destination for Indians who are moving there in big numbers. They are not just moving and settling there but they are also being a part of US growth by holding big positions across the sectors. Even the US administration acknowledges this spoken about this many times.

Not just that Indians are also changing the dynamics and serving as the CEOs of the big MNCs. They have come a long way to reach this. Earlier people used to say that Indians cannot be CEOs in the US. Cut to now the MNCs and giants are after Indians to appoint them in big positions.

As an example of this, the US Ambassador to India made sensational comments on the Indian Immigrants and how they are serving as the CEOs of the big companies in the US. He also said that they are successful and hence getting appointed as the CEOs.

US Ambassador to India Eric Garcetti spoke about the rise of the Indian immigrants who are appointed as CEOs. He said that earlier people used to say that you cannot be a CEO if you are an Indian and now the joke is that you cannot become a CEO if you are not an Indian.

"The old joke was you could not become a CEO in the US if you are Indian, now the joke is you cannot become a CEO in America if you are not Indian, whether it is Google, Microsoft or Starbucks, people have come and made a big difference," the US Ambassador said.

There is nothing wrong with what he said. Earlier the companies did not show interest in giving opportunities to Indians when it comes to big positions. But now the companies are preferring Indians over people from other ethnicities having understood our capabilities and the weightage we bring to the positions.

The US Ambassador also addressed the burning issue, the safety of Indian students in the US. Saying that he wants to bring down such incidents to zero, he said that the US cares about the Indian students and takes care of the students.
