The political landscape in Telangana went through some big developments after the election schedule was announced. The dynamics in the poll-bound state have been changing regularly, raising many eyeballs. After the election schedule was released the parties became busy implementing the strategies and putting their best efforts into the campaign.

The Telangana Bharatiya Janata Party which earlier appeared strong giving hopes of giving a tough fight to the ruling BRS started facing the reality. The party has been facing back-to-back jolts. Leaders are leaving the party one after the other, shocking the party leadership.

Actress-turned-politician Vijayashanthi who has been with the T-BJP for a few years quit the party. She sent the resignation letter to the state chief. Two weeks before the polls she resigned from the party.

While nothing is confirmed it is said that she would join the Congress party soon in the presence of Rahul Gandhi. If this happens then it marks the entry of Vijayashanthi into the Congress party yet again.

Congress bounced back in the state and things are falling in place for the grand old party. Leaders from other parties are joining Congress which is a sign of the growing strength of the party. As many as three leaders from BJP alone joined the Congress party in recent times.

It has to be mentioned that Vijayashanthi was not given an MLA ticket for the upcoming general elections. Not only that, she was not even mentioned in the list of star campaigners. These two reasons are said to have made the senior actress angry and she decided to quit.

On the other hand, it is said that the party leadership is not happy with her as she has not been active in party activities for some time. She was not granted a ticket and this made her angry.

Her political career started in the late 90s. She was with the BJP first. To support the Telangana agitation she formed a political party which was later merged into TRS which is now BRS. She was suspended from the party. Later she joined the Congress party. A few years later she joined the BJP. Now she is likely to join the Congress again.
