Will Local-Non Local Aspects Have Impact In Malkajgiri?
The political observers wonder if these factors have a role to play in these elections or not
Malkajgiri is the largest constituency as far as the voter count is concerned. The seat is getting all the attention in the wake of the upcoming elections as the parties took the elections prestigiously. The major parties already announced the candidates for the seat.
Now it is being said that local and non-local issues are getting all the attention. The political observers wonder if these factors have a role to play in these elections or not. Cadres are said to be highlighting the same issue.
Malkajgiri seat was held by Revanth Reddy earlier. After becoming the Chief Minister he resigned as the MP. It is said that the Congress party kept a big focus on the seat and is working hard.
The interesting thing with the seat is that BRS did not win the seat even when there was a BRS wave for two terms. Even in the wave, the party did not win the seat and TDP and Congress had a good record in the seat. Revanth Reddy is the previous sitting candidate there.
The BRS which wants to bounce back is adamant about winning the seat this time. As a strategic move, the party announced Ragidi Laxma Reddy as the candidate who is local.
It is known that former MLA Etela Rajender and Sunitha Mahender Reddy are the candidates for the seat from BJP and Congress respectively. The election fight is expected to be a three-faced battle.
But the supporters of the BRS candidate are said to be highlighting the point that both BJP and Congress candidates are non-locals. This is getting all the attention.
Etela is putting his best efforts in the constituency to win the seat as he faced the first defeat by losing the Huzurabad seat. He wants to bounce back and enter the Parliament as a member.
Now the local and non-local aspects are said to be highlighted as part of the campaign. Now we have to wait and see what the election result will be.
