As the election date is fast approaching we are seeing a lot of interesting developments in poll-bound Telangana. Parties are not shying away from joining hands with other parties to have an advantage. BJP joined hands with the Janasena for the general elections.

TDP which announced that it would contest 87 seats in the state took a surprising decision and quit the elections. The grand old party has a presence in the state in some regions and the support can be converted into elections. But the party had different plans and backed out of the polls.

It's the turn of another party to surprise everyone. YS Sharmila who entered Telangana politics to offer Rajanna Rajyam said she will not contest the party. She said that making the decision was very tough and she knew she had made many people dissatisfied.

Having surprised everyone with her decision, YS Sharmila made interesting comments. She said that Rahul Gandhi would have become the Prime Minister by now had her father been alive. On the occasion, YS Sharmila highlighted the mutual respect YSR and the Gandhi family had.

She said that YSR had high respect for Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi and they have the same for YSR and they are showing the same on her. Sharmila highlighted the proposal made by YSR to make Rahul Gandhi the Prime Minister.

It had to be mentioned here that, earlier senior Congress leader KVP Ramachandra Rao who is known as YSR's Aatma expressed severe dissatisfaction with YS Jagan and said that YSR wanted Rahul to make the PM and now Jagan is not showing interest in this.

Now YS Sharmila is talking about the same. As she openly expressed her support to Congress in the elections, we have to wait and see what impact it would have. We will get an answer to this in a few months.
