YS Vijayamma's Birthday: What Jagan, Sharmila Did?

It is known that April 19 marks the birthday of Vijayamma, mother of AP CM, YCP Chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and PCC Chief YS Sharmila. On the occasion, her son YS Jagan and her daughter Sharmila extended the birthday wishes separately.

AP CM YS Jagan who is busy with the Memantha Siddham Bus Yatra in the East Godavari district took to social media to wish his mother. Happy Birthday, Mother, he said on social media. He also shared a picture with his mother.

PCC chief YS Sharmila also wished her mother on her birthday. "Happy Birthday Mother. You gave birth to me. You stood by me to make the birth meaningful as strength, light in darkness, and comfort in agony. You are the selfless form that filled the values and faith in me. I pray to god that he gives you health, peace of mind, and happiness for a hundred years. Happy Birthday Mother," Sharmila said. She also attached a picture of her with her mother.

On the other hand, cadres of YCP and Congress are also wishing Vijayamma on her birthday.

For the last elections, YS Vijayamma toured the state and campaigned for the YCP candidates. She did rapid tours in the state. But she is not seen in the picture now. Jagan and Sharmila are in the election race from different sides. We are seeing them targeting each other. There is a big gossip that YS Vijayamma went to the US as she could not take any side.

It is being said that Vijayamma is not in the state and she went to relatives house. She might not return until the elections are done. Reports say that Vijayamma might have decided to stay away from politics instead of dealing with the stress.

After the demise of former CM YSR, Vijayamma won the Pulivendula seat unanimously. When Jagan floated the YCP due to issues with Congress, Vijayamma, and Jagan resigned from their MLA and MP seats respectively.

In the Pulivendula by-elections, Vijayamma won as a YCP candidate. Jagan won the MP seat. Vijayamma contested from the Vizag MP seat in 2014 and lost. Since then she has not faced any elections. She continued as the honorary President of the YCP party.
