T BJP's infighting: Amit Shah to visit Hyderabad soon
Bandi Sanjay has been complaining that his group has been sidelined in the party
The BJP leadership, which thought that it can rein in the warring groups in the Telangana unit of the party by replacing Bandi Sanjay as state president, is now finding that the group war has only intensified. The national leadership is now worried that these differences could sink the party in the upcoming elections in Telangana.
A sulking Bandi Sanjay has been complaining that his group has been sidelined in the party. At the same time, leaders like Dubbak MLA Raghunandan have become vocal in criticizing the party leadership. His comments against Bandi Sanjay and even national leadership have created quite a sensation. Leaders like Vijayasanthi are upset at the elevation of Komatireddy Rajagopal and former CM Nallari Kiran Kumar Reddy.
Similarly, rebels are giving a tough time to Nizamabad MP Dharmapuri Aravind. They have even lodged a complaint with the state leadership. Serious differences have cropped up between various senior leaders in the party. Meanwhile, Bhongir strongman Jitta Balakrishna Reddy has been suspended for anti-party activities.
To address these issues and iron out the differences among the party leaders in Telangana, union Home Minister and BJP strongman Amit Shah will visit Hyderabad on July 29. He will speak to various factions and will try to douse the fires of dissidence. It remains to be seen if he would be successful in his efforts.
