Is TDP Unable To Decide On Pawan Kalyan?
TDP reportedly wants to give just 25 seats to Janasena
By: Tupaki Desk | 25 July 2023 9:50 AM GMTIs Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan a friend or will he become an opponent in the future? The bigwigs in the TDP are unable to conclude on this, say observers. Pawan Kalyan is a film celebrity and his meetings draw massive crowds. On the other hand, he comes from a strong community.
All these are seen as plus points.Another thing is that Pawan Kalyan never went against the TDP. He met Chandrababu two to three times already. He is saying that he will not let the anti-YCP vote split. After his Delhi visit, Pawan became close to the BJP. Pawan Kalyan is batting for the NDA government in AP.
This says that Pawan Kalyan would walk with the BJP. But there is no clarity on the TDP issue. While the TDP wants to focus on Alliance so that the seats sharing can be discussed later, Janasena wants to focus on addressing seat sharing and then the alliance.
It is said that former Minister Harirama Jogaiah recently made some suggestions to the Janasena leadership. He reportedly wants Janasena to get not less than 75 seats in the alliance. Out of the 175 seats in the state, this will be Janasena's share.
If not for that many seats, Janasena reportedly wants to settle for not less than 50 seats. The party is thinking that its graph increased at once with the two phases of Varahi Yatra. It is also saying that it is very strong in around 40 seats out of the 68 seats in North Andhra and two Godavari districts. It is said that Janasena wants to contest in 50 seats by taking 10 more seats in the South Kosta region.
If the same happens, there is a big doubt in whether TDP will allot these many seats. TDP reportedly wants to give just 25 seats to Janasena. But TDP did not have another plan on what happens if the seat sharing issue is not addressed and Jana Sena-BJP goes for polls.
Political experts say that this is an issue that needs a big focus. There will be no permanent friends or enemies in politics. If politics changes, then friends become enemies. A debate is going on about what impact it would have if Janasena is targeted at once. Another discussion is also going on about whether the parties will go to elections as friendly competition if not ally. If this happens then also there will be a confusion for the cadres.
Many say that TDP not able to come to a clarity on Janasena politically is a big issue. We have to wait and see if the party takes any stand and goes forward.
