IFFI @Goa: Wah! What A Changeover Mama!

It wasn't long before Megastar Chiranjeevi expressed discontentment with the ignorance towards Telugu cinema at the Goa Film Festival. He felt gutted by the lack of recognition for the Telugu legends like ANR, NTR, SV Ranga Rao and others are the Indian Film Festival at Goa. He vowed to put in his best efforts to change the scene. This happened back in 2007 and it is still fresh in the memory of the audience.

However, cut to now, the remarkable raise of Telugu cinema is beyond measure for everyone. The very same Goa Event is now loaded with Telugu flavour and it has the attendance of likes of Nagarjuna Akkineni, Swapna and Priyanka of Vyjyanthi Movies, and much more.

Even the idols of Prabhas in Baahubali and Adipurush avatars were publicized outside the arena. The feel and vibe of the Goa Film Festival had a strong Telugu flavour and the recognition for the Telugu cinema industry is very much evident here. This is the kind of magnanimity that is associated with Telugu cinema of late.

If anything, the Telugu film industry is the best-performing industry in all of India and not even Bollywood is able to match the box office potential of our films here. So, it is only natural that the Goa Film Festival has the rightful recognition for the same.

The onset of Rajamouli and Prabhas's Baahubali has changed the game completely and thanks to this phenomenon, the Telugu cinema has rise beyond all measure. Today, we have RRRs, Pushpas, Kalkis coming out and going bonkers at the box office and appeasing the global audience. It is good to see our native industry excelling at such astronomous rates.
